John Fort’s name appears on Sabden Primary School Plaque.  According to the records of the soldiers who died in the Great War, only one John Fort was killed.  He gave the following details  

John died in the 33^rd Combined Clearing Hospital , Haifa on the 30^th October 1918 .  He is buried in the Haifa War Cemetery, Israel.

In Sabden he has only been remembered on the School Plaque.
